7 Courses to Follow Developing your English
The Lang-Lab program combines two grammar courses with five conversation courses. Each stage has a different purpose within the student's learning process.
Build your foundation with grammar
Grammar 1 and Grammar 2 develop the fundamental structures that the student needs to understand and use English.

For students who are beginning to develop the basics of English.
Grammar 2
Continue developing your language structure and understanding.
Practice and Develop Your Conversation
After the grammar stage, the program continues with five different conversation courses, each with topics and opportunities to continue using English.
Conversation Courses Are Not Fixed Levels
Gold, Diamond, Opal, Emerald, and Onyx are five different conversation courses. Their names do not directly correspond to levels 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and they do not need to be taken in any specific order.
How do they work? The Levels?
At Lang-Lab, the level you start at and the level you reach within the program are two different things. Your entry point depends on the English you already know, while your progress reflects the courses you complete.
Location Level
Not all students need to start from Grammar 1. If you already have some knowledge of English, you can start at the level that corresponds to your current abilities.
Level Achieved
Your level within the program progresses as you complete courses. After Grammar 1 and Grammar 2, each completed conversation course raises your level, regardless of which of the five courses you take first.
From Level 1 to Level 7
The first two levels correspond to grammar courses. From there, each completed conversation course represents an additional level.

How is your entry point determined?
A student who scores over 80% in both the Placement Exam 1 as in the Placement Exam 2 continues with a oral evaluation. This assessment allows us to determine which of our two conversation entry points best matches your current skills.
Your first completed conversation course corresponds to Level 3
Conversational Beginner and Conversational Advanced indicate the entry point of the student, not the level number that will appear on their certificate. Regardless of which of the two they start with, upon completing their first conversation course, their certificate will identify them as Level 3.
It doesn't matter if those courses were Gold, Opal, Onyx, or any other combination. Each completed conversation course represents an additional step in your progress at Lang-Lab.

Each completed course represents an important step. That's why at Lang-Lab we recognize both the progress made in each course and the achievement of completing our entire conversation series.

Certificate of completion
Upon completing the course requirements and obtaining a final grade of 80% or higher,The student receives a certificate that formally recognizes the completion of that course.

Upon completion of all five conversation courses, the student receives special recognition for having completed the entire Lang-Lab conversational series.

Each Conversation Course Advances One Level
Gold, Diamond, Opal, Emerald, and Onyx are different courses, not fixed numerical levels. The level shown on the certificate depends on how many conversation courses the student has completed.
For example, a student can complete Diamond as your first conversation course and receive a certificate of Level 3. The course name alone does not determine the level.
Every Course Counts. Completing all five is a special achievement.

Grammar gives you the foundation. The Conversation puts it into practice.
Grammar 1 and Grammar 2 help the student understand how the language works and build the necessary foundations to use it correctly.
Gold, Diamond, Opal, Emerald and Onyx offer different themes and opportunities to continue practicing and developing the use of English.

Progress depends not only on listening to an explanation. The student uses English, participates, and receives guidance throughout the process.
The teacher explains and guides the content in a clear and progressive manner.
Respond, ask questions, and actively use English during class.
Reinforce what you have learned through exercises, activities, and conversation.

Each course adds new opportunities to use your English
As you progress through the program, you continue to build upon what you have learned previously while incorporating new topics, vocabulary, and communication opportunities.
